Morrissey performs This Charming Man on Jonathan Ross
Morrisey aired his new single and a version of This Charming Man on Jonathan Ross Friday night (13th Feb). You can see a clip of the show here on You Tube.
Just hoping and praying he plays this in his set on the 10th May when I go see him at the Empire in Liverpool! There’s divided opinion regarding old Smiths tracks being played by solo Morrissey, with many fans believing they’re best left in the past. Personally I missed out on seeing the Smiths live so its great to hear those songs played by Morrissey again – and I don’t believe it dilutes the original in any way…

I honestly thought his performance wasn’t at all good doing this particular song. Though he sounded very strained.

I thought that the performance was briliant and would love to have a copy for my bus journeys to and from work .. sorry about the four letter word there.
yes he didn’t hit the high notes as he used to but he certainly didn’t fail in delivering a new beautiful lyrical melody on such a timeless classic.
